For decades, people of all ages have been sliding down sand dunes on some kind of plank or other, searching for that elusive adrenalin rush that comes from mastering the skill of riding a mountain with break-neck speeds & consequences. Through the years Sand boarding has developed till what it is now.

True Sand boarding is the art of standing with two feet locked onto a board and carving arks down a dune. The beauty of it is that you can control the board and speed by turning, stopping and jumping with easy control of the board.

Sand boarding has its roots from the pure board sports of Surfing and Snowboarding. Sand boarding offers the exhilaration of Surfing and the freestyle manoeuvres of riding the snow, all with the pleasure of staying dry and not freezing to death! (O.K. so we don't have lifts but one ride will keep you running up for more).

The best part about Sand boarding is that it is easy to learn and accessible to the absolute beginner – so fear not, Adrenaline is just a slide away! It is also the best way to learn the fundamentals of Snowboarding as the basic principles are the same. Our expert boarders will show you just how easy it is!

South African's have pioneered Sand boarding in Africa and uses the latest Snowboard technology to ensure safety and ease of learning.

You will be transported to the biggest dune complex in South Africa at Atlantis on the West Coast. You will arrive at the Atlantis Dune Complex at 10h30.

Clients will then have their first beginner’s lesson in Sand boarding. A shade tent will be available for the refreshment station where clients can have water and juices to cool themselves. A picnic lunch will be served at 13h00 where after clients will be given an intermediate lesson in Sand boarding.
